Friendship and a free meal are on offer at the St George Community Hub in Sydney.
Multicultural Service Officer Divesh is a key organiser of the Hub, and he says bringing people and cultures together is important.
“We’ve brought together a range of service providers so people can easily access the support they need in one place,” Divesh said.
“It’s also an opportunity for people to meet, make friends, and everyone is offered a free meal as well.
“We have people from all walks of life coming into the hub. You can see first-hand how sharing knowledge – and a meal – really helps bridge gaps between different cultures.”
World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, celebrated on 21 May each year, provides an opportunity to reflect on the value of cultural diversity in local communities.
