Yarra Service Centre to continue operating for an additional three months until suitable servicing options are found

Services Australia is able to confirm that customers can continue to access Centrelink and Medicare services from the Yarra Service Centre in Abbotsford for the next three months whilst other suitable servicing options are found.

Services Australia General Manager Hank Jongen said that after a formal offer late yesterday, the agency has now reached an agreement with the service centre landlord.

‘Following the landlord offering an extension on 21 May, we can confirm the Yarra Service Centre will continue the current servicing arrangements for the next three months,’ Mr Jongen said.

‘During that period we will explore servicing options for the area.

‘We’re disappointed this agreement couldn’t be reached sooner, but are pleased to have this interim servicing solution for our customers.’

People can also continue to use online and phone options available to manage their Centrelink and Medicare needs.

The Yarra Service Centre is open Monday to Friday, from 8.30am to 4.30 pm.
